Let's start of the New Year with the ...
Dakota Farmers Market and Growers Association & Local Foods conference,
Friday and Saturday, Feb. 14-15, at Minot’s Grand Hotel, 1505 N. Broadway.
“It’s a Business”
Local foods producers across the state want
to know what can be done to make their businesses better. Day one should provide
some answers with sessions on grafting and vegetable varieties for high
tunnels. Other sessions will focus on finance to help producers improve their
bottom line. The “Loving Local” banquet will have some business to take care
of, but the better part the evening will be filled with great local foods and networking.
Discover how to expand our markets,
strengthen relationships and make lasting connections. Specific topics include
the growth of the micro brewing industry in North Dakota, opportunities for
specialty crop producers, labeling to attract customers, no-till/cocktail
gardening, using social media and much more…
Producers, consumers and local food
enthusiasts will find something for everyone. Breakout sessions will allow
people to learn more about the topics that most interest them. Attendees have
the option to stay both days or just one. A block of rooms has been set aside for
Friday and Saturday nights at the Grand Hotel under the ND Farmers Market and
Growers Association. Reserve your room today by calling the Grand Hotel at
